Our old alpha bitch Essie when she was 9 or 10, went down to the whelping room and chose this puppy. Really did not matter what Bob and I thought. Sally was raised by Essie who normally had no love for another dog but loved this baby girl. Sally grew into her own and after Essie passed on, did as instructed by Essie and became our next Alpha. The only dog the princess puppy loved was Uno, one of our males.
Being a female of strong opinion Sally loved her babies out of Slugger, hated her singleton boy and tolerated her babies out of Buzz. A beautiful biscuit fawn with a clear coat and pretty face stood Sally in good stead in the show ring. She was pretty, feminine and moderate in all ways. Like Essie she would give her life for the humans she loves and is one of my very best in the house and at bedtime. Rabbits and deer were put on short notice. Sally was athletic , fast and a huntress. She could turn on a dime and sprint across acres at breakneck
speed to catch a rabbit. She was a asset to our breeding program and to our lives. She passed her coat color, solid topline and good shoulders on to her get. She is currently one of our veterans and doing well, always healthy, always in control.
