COI The Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI) is a calculation of how related an individual's parents are, or a measure of how inbred they are. It reflects the likelihood of any individual allele being homozygous and relative risk of inheriting recessive genetic conditions. I found these scatter graphs interesting in that they really show no pattern and do not indicate a shorter life span with higher COI numbers. The average COI for the breed is 12.5
