When “Cheers”, my second Bullmastiff, came to me from my mentor, Carol Beans, my life would never again be the same. Cheer’s possessed everything I ever wanted in a show dog and more. She was 24 1/2” tall and weighed a svelte 130 pounds. She had lots of bone, a gorgeous rear, and a perfect bite. Her faults were few, white toe nails, and a muzzle that was a tad too long but she made up for it with her width of muzzle and under jaw. More important than her beauty was her marvelous temperament. Cheer’s was the perfect name for her. She was the happiest when she was in the middle of a bunch of kids, in front of the TV, her body being used as a pillow. She loved every person and animal she ever met. Cheer’s loved to carry things. She never greeted anyone without bringing them a gift of one of her many toys. She passed that trait, and many other wonderful qualities, to her offspring.
