How to introduce you to Lilly. I guess we can start by saying that she is a bread thieving fool. If there is a loaf on the counter you can be rest assured that the wrapper will be found in a crate in the morning.. She stole Jen’s bananna bread off the hotel night stand. There is only one other thing that Lilly loved more then bread, and that would be babies. Lilly was the best mom. She never wanted to leave the whelping box. If we were to take the babies out of the box and put them in a tote she would try to get in there with them. The temperaments she has produced were beyond anything I could imagine. They are obedient, loving, nurturing, and easy to live with. To know Lilly the only thing you could do was love her. Her personality showed when she guarded from the bed. She would rise from the corner of the bed to look out the bathroom window and bark. During her show career she fell in love with Paul Levesque. He would always say she loved his pockets as he always had treats, but Lilly was shown by others and never did I see a spark in her eye as she had when she was with him. She showed her heart out for him. Lilly’s success came from the whelping box. She produced very consistently. One of her babies earned a CD at 7 months of age, another one earned a group 1 and a group 2 from the puppy class. The time came after a tragic incident, her lung twisted and we lost her. 5 years old didn’t seem fair. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
