CH SCYLDOCGA BAIRN MCTAVISH CROM
Ch. Scyldocga Bairn McTavish OFA #209 was a very well marked red brindle. Four of his offspring are ROM Bullmastiffs. Ch. Phoebe Fen Silver is the foundation of Sem Pedro Bullmastiffs in Florida. Stonykill’s Black Magic Mama was the brindle foundation of Stonykill Kennels. Ch. Tailwynde’s Gentleman Barney and Ch. Tailwynde’s Rinky D’Ink won BOB at the National Specialty in 1975 and 1977 respectively. Barney also took an all breed Best in Show. “Inky” died at 10 years of age of natural causes. We attribute the sweetness of our Bullmastiffs to his influence. Coal black of eye and right every way he stood, good bite, nice angulation front and rear. He was everything one could want in a foundation sire. He was 25 inches at the withers. His flaw was that he produced a legion of oversized, Mastiffy sons. Some of his daughters were absolute horror shows. He did give us a nucleus of good stuff to proceed with.
