“Cagney” was one of three bitch puppies produced in the second litter by Ch. Sandcastle’s Classy Tasy and Ch. Needles Beau Colorado N-N. She was fawn in color and stood 24 and a half inches at the withers and weighed 115 pounds. Her faults were her bite and mask and she was light in bone. She was a very happy, friendly bitch with a sassy and independent attitude. She never met an animal or person she didn’t like. She loved the show ring and moved with confidence and wagging tail. She had a strong rear end and a clear coat. Cagney had three litters before being spayed and retired. Even after retiring, she would try and nurse any puppies she could get near. I once found her in the whelping box with “Liza” and her ten puppies. Both bitches had puppies attached and trying to nurse. Cagney died just four days after her ninth birthday of a heart problem.
