Terra is a stunning large bitch with nice bone and substance. She looks very much like her father Ch. Leathernecks Spanky McFarland. Terra had a great start winning Best In Sweepstakes under breeder Judge Regina Shilstone, at the ABA Semi-Annual Supported Entry in Perry, GA at eight months of age! She was awarded her first major, a 5-pointer, under Judge Roy Stenmark in Ft. Pierce, FL. Terra received her second major and finished her Championship under Mrs. Robert Thomas in Deland, FL. Terra is always owner handled. Terra is a bitch that screams “Standard”. She is as solid and sound as they come! Quite honestly, Terra is a bitch that is difficult to criticize. The only thing I would consider improving would be her sloping croup.
Terra did an outstanding job with her two (2) litters. While small litters, for a total of seven (7) puppies, they exude quality, soundness in mind and temperament and exceptional confidence, just like their parents. They all have her much desired very wide under jaw and beautiful bite. They have been noted by many as exceptional movers that float and command the ground they move on. They include OFA qualified hips and elbows and one Excellent rating. All of Terra’s puppies except one were finished out of the Bred-By Exhibitor Class. All six (6) qualified and were invited to the AKC Eukanuba National Championships. Her son, Ch. Gallant Oaks Match Made ‘N Heaven, Bennie, is the most winning dog she produced, winning multiple group placements. Terra was awarded Top Producing Dam of the Year for 2005.
Terra is the foundation of Gallant Oaks. She is and will be until her days are over, the silent leader of the pack here at Gallant Oaks. It is an honor to have such a fine example of the breed in our home now and for many years to come with her produce. We could have not been more blessed then the day that Jan Poulton of Patriot Bullmastiffs offered Terra to be ours. We will never forget nor slight the huge contribution and accomplishments that Terra has provided to Gallant Oaks.
