Born in our home from a litter of four, Podie tugged at my heart strings the most. She is a very serious dog who I have no doubt would guard me with her life should the need arise. Though she wasn’t born with a good working mentality, she did what I asked her to do simply because I asked her to do it earning her CH., CD, NA and RN titles before retiring to the couch. She whelped two litters for us of mostly male puppies with Recon going on to excell in the working events. If I could change one thing about Podie it would be to shorten her back. She has a longer body but I also feel that affords her the free and easy movement I love in her so much. She didn’t pass on a working mentality for the most part to her offspring but did pass on her protective nature in guarding what she considers hers. She will always be my heart dog and my best friend.
