As one of Pablos’s breeders, I am honored to be asked to write his life accomplishments. Pablo was born one of a litter of nine on November 15, 2007. The night he was born he had blue ribbon as his ID collar and became “Blue” boy, an apropos choice considering his successful career. He matured into a 25 ¾”, 135 lb. boy. He was mostly handled by Sarah Karger Krickenberg with his co-breeder/owner Tony Scully occasionally handling.
Pablo earned many accomplishments and wins during his life. Among those are: Best In Sweeps, multi Best In Specialty breed winner, multi Group winner and multi Group placer. He finished the 2011 year as the #1 Bullmastiff in Breed points and in 2012 was the #2 Bullmastiff, both systems.
Although Pablos’s many wins were impressive his most memorable trait was his unflappable temperament and love of people. He adored co-owner Kathy Spencer and was most happy in her company. Her love and care of Pablo were known throughout the fancy. They enjoyed visiting nursing homes and Pablo had passed the requirements for a TDI, although his paperwork was never been turned in. Kathy and Pablo also enjoyed long walks and were well known and loved by the neighborhood children.
Pablo served as a serious but gentle pack leader for the Spencer/Scully household. He was known for charming the ladies, especially his beloved Kathy and his handler Sarah. GCH. Newcastle’s Picturesque Picasso, aka Pablo, died in November of 2013 near his sixth birthday, a life too short.
