Mya was a home bred girl who’s carefully planned ancestry brought together two famous sires, Allstar’s Mugsy Malone (grandfather) and Mikelly Rajah Leatherneck (father). Mya had outstanding presence and was an eye catcher everywhere she went. Her strongest quality was her beautiful fore chest because of her well angulated front and shoulders that were well set on, something rarely seen in our breed today. Mya was the middle of the standard for height 25” and weighed 116 pounds in show weight. Mya had tremendous reach and drive which fully utilized her moderate angulation. Mya loved the farm and was always watching the property with her discerning eye, and loved being the queen bee of the land. She always took a few days to become accepting and welcome new dogs into the pack. She was a full contact snuggler and happy to sleep on the couch or in bed with anyone that would invite her. Mya left us all too soon and bloated unexpectedly at 7 years of age while being watched by other family as I was out of town and my husband was having an emergency appendectomy. In hindsight, if we had known she would be predisposed to bloat we would have tacked her stomach years earlier. We are grateful to have generations of her children and grandchildren around us and for the wonderful friends we have made that have her lineage
