Ruby is fun loving, energetic and game for anything. When she sees her leash she shows off her big smile and is ready to go.
Bred by Melinda Agee, she came to us as an 8 week old puppy and immediately showed us that she had plans to be something special. Although she was "the baby", she showed the adult bullies of our household that she had plans. The adults seemed to know that she was special and tolerated lots of "childish pranks" which helped to further develop her stable temperament yet sweet and willing nature to make her an ideal show, working, and companion dog.
She has good bone, level topline, a beautiful head piece and a wide and level bite. Although she is slightly longer, she was bred to Ch Leatherneck Red Storm Rising ( by frozen semen ) and produced a litter of 8 almost square offspring. All but one have been shown to some degree, some maturing quickly, some taking longer. Most have inherited good size, good bone and all have good, friendly stable temperaments.
With only one litter produced, there were 4 champions. We knew this was an exceptional litter when, at 6 months of age, we entered 2 boys and 2 girls in one show and had the pleasure of making the judge really think about his choices. Both boys and both girl pups made it to the winners group and each time they finished 1 and 2. I heard the judge comment that these were very tough choices and I told him that I wanted to have a very quick chat at the end of the bully class, which I did. He was stunned when he found out all 4 of his 6 mos old puppy choices were siblings, and said "No wonder it was so difficult to choose!"
Their great temperament and easy going behavior was noted at picture time. All 4 pups stood absolutely still for their 6 month show picture. The photographer said this was the first time he had this many young pups in one shot and "got it" the first time. The same thing happened when we did a picture of 5 pups at another show. Too early tell about the future, but this litter seems to be a good start for the future.
Bullies are a big, warm packages of love.
