Impressive, unforgettable, a standout, are words that describe this girl.
Poppy is a square, clean typy bitch. Her light clear coated fawn with coal black mask and ears gave her a face that catches your attentation. Her children weremiddle of the standard in height and inherited her pigment and clear coat. She has a desire to please and loves with her whole heart. Her most memorable wins were Best of Opposite at Westminster, Best of Opposite at the SW Regional and becoming the number one bitch in the country in 1997. She had two litters, both from the same male. Her son, Chaucer, won the Sweepstakes at the 1997 National Speciality and Winners Dog at the Canadian National Speciality in 1997. This was A/C Ch. Bastion’s Centr Ct Wimbleton - Cejner. A son from the second litter, Bastion’s Cookie Cutter, shows great promise as a yearling for both conformation and working arenas. Her daughters that continue her legacy are A/C Int’l Champion Bastion’s Ivystone Olympia from her first litter and Ch. Bastion’s Snickerdoodle from her last litter.
After retirement Poppy spent the rest of her days working in service. She had a gift of making troubled children open up, relax and talk. As a crisis intervention dog she may have found her true calling.
