“Bit” began his show career at just seven months of age by going Best in Sweepstakes at Old Dominion. He finished his championship a week after his first birthday, owner handled. As we were unable to continue Bit’s sire Luke, we thought we would campaign Bit just for fun, as he was just 15 months old. Before we knew it he was consistently winning breeds, then groups, and an all-breed Best in Show at just 20 months of age. He ended up the year as the number one bullmastiff, all systems, for 1994. He was the number two Bullmastiff in breed points for 1995, and was retired at the end of that year. Like his sire, Bit was also a national speciality and Westminster Award of Merit winner. Not bad for a second pick stud puppy.
Bit began his life as a stud dog rather late, as he was not used while being campaigned, but made up for lost time by producing some lovely puppies, which include a Best in Sweepstakes winner, a National Speciality Winners Bitch, National Speciality and Westminster
Award of Merit winners, the top ranked Bullmastiff bitch in 1996 & 1997, and the top Bullmastiff bitch for 1998
At 25 1/2 inches tall and between 125-130 pounds, Bit is a moderate dog. he is an outstanding mover with incredible reach and drive. His personality is exceptional: sweet, silly and outgoing, he possesses a love for the show ring and a love for life. Bit was bred by Jean
