By Dr Thomas And Mrs Angela KayThe day we picked Bogie up from Anna Figueroa, the breeder, we knew we had a very special dog. Even at 10 weeks of age he was “Mr. Personality”. Our initial impression was confirmed by Dr. Rebecca Fulton, our vet, at Bogie’s first checkup. We were encouraged to try the show ring.

Under the expert guidance of his handler, Shirley Boxer, he amazed us by winning a major at his first show and his championship at 9 months. His accomplishments include multiple group 1’s as well as multiple Specialty Best of Breeds. He was the American Bullmastiff Association # 2 bullmastiff in 2008 and the American Bullmastiff Association #1 in 2009 when he won First Award of Merit at Westminster. In 2010 he was Best of Breed at Westminster and became the American Bullmastiff Association’s # 2 even with not being shown after Westminster. He is now retired from the show ring and enjoy’s sleeping on the sofa.

We are especially proud of his Canine Good Citizen and his Therapy Dog International titles. With his wonderful disposition, he is truly an ambassador for the breed.

Bogie’s next generation are strutting their stuff and obtaining their Championships. Whelped from beautiful champion bitches, which are also health tested in heart, eyes, hips and thyoid, we are attemping to help the breed be a healthier one for those who are fortunate enough to own a Bullmastiff. Sam was handled for his entire show career by Shirley Boxer.
