Call Name: Gabe
AKC # WP785790/05, Male, Red Fawn
Gabe is our first Bullmastiff, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful introduction to the breed. Initially purchased as a pet and companion, we were encouraged to show him. Gabe finished his American championship at 17 months, and shortly after completed his Canadian championship. Gabe was specialed in shows in our area and several specialty shows, winning numerous Best of Breeds and multiple Group placements. He won Best of Breed at the Piedmont Bullmastiff Specialty at Old Dominion in 1999.
Gabe is a 26”, red-fawn dog with heavy bone, a deep wide chest, a short back, a level topline, beautiful tight feet, and an outstanding headpiece. His bite is slightly undershot, with a wide under jaw. Gabe’s movement is a delight to watch – powerful reach and drive
and a solid hard topline. He seems to move effortlessly. Gabe’s faults are that he could use a darker pigment and his nose tends to lighten in the winter. Gabe’s laid back, cheerful temperament also gained him his Canine Good Citizen certificate, and Therapy Dog International certification. When visiting at our local Veteran’s Administration Hospital, patients and staff alike marvel at how such a big, impressive dog
can be so gentle and comforting. As a stud dog, Gabe has produced great soundness, consistent type and excellent temperaments
to his children and grandchildren. Besides his champion get, he has several that are pointed and major pointed.
Now retired, Gabe enjoys a life of leisure with 2 of his daughters, 1 grand-daughter and a boxer. The girls tend to tease him, but he takes it all in stride and he loves his harem. Gabe is a once in a lifetime dog, and he literally changed our lives. We are privileged to have this special dog share our lives and our bed.
