“Spike” (pictured at 7 years of age)  was a one puppy litter for his dam.  He got all  the attention and love in the world and grew up quite spoiled. As he matured, it became evident that this dog was worthy of being shown and he finished his championship, handled by Cathy Babins, on 1/11/90 at 13 months of age.   Spike was bred on a limited basis and a number of the champion get were therefore “home bred” out of our Ch. Evangeline’s Ivy O'Cresta. He is a square, true Bullmastiff and still moves like a freight train at 8 years old.  He loves to show and was brought out of retirement as late as 7 years of age by his friend  and biggest fan, Teresa Nichols, for two shows. He took Best of Breed at one (over two sons) and Veteran Dog at the other.  His pups exhibit soundness, type and excellent temperament.. Spike, at this writing, is semiretired and his youngest children are 4 months old. His greatest joy is getting down on the floor with his young children and grandchildren, rolling and playing.
