CT & Am CH Dur-Anya’s Wind It Up Baby
Zoom By Lisa M Heffner
“Zoom” was destined for greatness…in any form. She obtained her CH in only 2 weekends with a BOB over specials, one of which was her Mom. She constantly wagged, like a lab my non-doggy friends would say. “If she were human, she would wear her hat backwards, drive a Mini-Cooper with a checkered roof, and listen to music REAL loud.” She was so silly that she saw the nail clippers and would throw herself on the floor with feet up in the air. She knew nails = cookies! Of course wagging silly! She won BOS at the Westminster Dog Show, all owner-handled. She really was not a great show dog. I would stack her and get as quickly to the end of the leash and keep saying “stay”. She would wag, wiggle, wag, wiggle…if I stood over her, she would wiggle out of her collar, throw her head upside down to give me a kiss in my mouth…yup! Free stacking was how she was shown her entire career. She was a multiple group placer, and just did amazing at specialities. However, we decided to really channel the inner crazy and do working.
She got her CD and CDX with ease. Very nice scores, mostly in mid to upper 90’s…Can. CD as well. She was FULLY trained and ring ready for her UD, however, one day we both came to the conclusion…………she could care less about making mistakes, and found them fun. So her UD was never attempted, thank God!
She had one litter to Luc…..a beautiful Roxedge dog. Zoom was an amazing Mommy! She would sleep with her babies, in there 24/7 and nurse them upside down, while sleeping!
Her tracking…….this girl LOVED tracking and taught me my love of tracking. She took 4 or 5 times to get her TD….no really! It was very interesting as we both learned our way through this title. However, her TD will be replayed by the tracking club of ME for life as I was a kite on the end of a bull! Her TDX....we took 2 times, article indication was a problem. Her VST was on the second or third try. However, she will remain the first bullmastiff to earn a CT! I never thought I could be so proud……she was simply amazing to watch in harness.
We lost Zoom at 9 years old to a sudden A-fib, that caused her heart to fail in 2 days. It was not structural, it was that she got into the trash and ate coffee grounds. She would love to go into the trash and drag it through the house….she was very proud of that. However, I was having surgery for kidney cancer and was not home for a week. Doug was in and out………..it was a very hard loss. She left this house with a HUGE void!
We miss ya’ Zoomers..................love Mom and Dad.
