“Vickie” is the Matriarch of our Bullmastiff family and rules the roost with quiet dignity. Vickie has ample forechest and spring of rib and her foot placement is good front and rear, her pigment is good and she has lovely dark eyes. Her top line is a little soft and she is more undershot than I would like, although she has good width of underjaw. Her temperament is ideal, combining the role of loving companion with that of watchful guardian, while keeping the rest of the gang in order Her only litter so far was sired by our own Ch. Briarts Buck the Odds of SO. There were 10 puppies in the litter and she was the best mother I’ve ever seen. She did it all without any help from us. She seemed to enjoy company (human or dog) and proudly displayed her fat little charges to all visitors.
This litter produced four breed titles and one obedience title. Two of the four champions are multi-group placing, and one a Multi Best in Speciality Show winner. We are very proud of these achievements but what pleases us most is that as of this writing, three of these offspring have produced champion get of their own. We will always be grateful to Bill and Susan Jackson for allowing Vickie to be part of our life and the dam of our first Bullmastiff Litter.
