“Sky” has the ultimate bullmastiff temperament, gentle and willing to please, but intelligently protective. We have no doubt that she would give her life to protect us if we were in danger. Her physical strengths are; a rather beautiful, correctly proportioned head with excellent pigment, jet black eyes, good neck length, strong hocks and pasterns and a correct tail set and length. Her movement
coming and going is balanced and sound with no joint twisting. Her weakness is a straight front and rear and a soft top line. Her bite is a 1/4” undershot. Overall, she is a very pretty bitch with an eye catching expression. She disliked the conformation ring, but loved obedience work and it was very economical to obtain her Companion Dog title. We entered her in three shows, she qualified in each
and that was that! She was our first attempt at obedience competition and if we had been more experienced, I’m sure she would have had scores in the 190’s. She came into season every six months like clockwork, always conceived when bred and carried to full term. The three dogs she was bred to were all fawns or red fawns, between 25 and 25 1/2”, short backed with dead level toplines and good front
and rear angulation The first was a tight line breed, the second a loose line breed, and the third a virtual outcross. She produced a total of 16 puppies, all either red or red fawn. The male puppies all have better bites than the females. Most of the females are approximately 25”, while the males range from 25 1/4” to 27”. Some of the males are short backed, while most of the females are not. All of her
offspring have good pigment, strong to very strong heads, and decent rears. Toplines range from rock solid to good. Some of the puppies have better front angulation than she does, but most of them are still rather straight in the shoulder with a short upper arm assembly. At 6 1/2 yrs. old, “Sky” is in excellent health and will live out her life with us at StoneBull.
