Call Name: Irving
WE600010 SB - Nov 1981 Male, Red
Progeny points: 7 Level: Copper: Status: inactive, updated 2012
Irving was a fun loving animal. He lived in a household with many other animals and was a best friend to each of them. He possessed a brilliant deep red coat that always had a healthy shine. His muscular, square body was greatly enhanced by his large typey head and intelligent and inquisitive expression. This allowed him to finish his championship by his first birthday. Irving also proved himself in the whelping box. Selectively bred, his champion offspring were the get from three of the five litters he sired. Among his outstanding get was Am. Cdn. Ch. Brodmere’s Madam Nemesis (Ester). Ester was ranked #1 Bullmastiff in Canada and was best of Opposite Sex at the ABA National under Mrs. Danielle Jenkins in 1985.
Anyone that said “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” obviously never had the pleasure of meeting Irving. After finishing his championship he was retired , which was unfortunate by virtue of his specials quality. Fortunately, he retired to the loving home of Liz McKinney. Whereupon, he took up the art of Obedience, earning his C.D. degree at the age of six.
Irving loved people and over the years gathered a devoted fan club. One admirer wrote: “if all ambassadors were like Irving, there would be no wars”. Irving passed away at the mature age of 11-1/2. His legacy lives on in many lines. And so, his contribution to the breed, like his name, is truly Noteworthy.
