A brindle son of Mister’s out of Ch. Kastle Jennat’s Sherry Baby, was Best of Breed as a class dog at the 1990 New England Specialty. He was best of breed at the Piedmont Bullmastiff Specialty, April 1993.
Scottish breeder-judge Crawford Taylor commented: “BEST OF BREED: (31) I was impressed by the overall standard of competition in this class. 31 champions, a veteran champion and the two Winners of the day, with only three absentees. We just do not see anything like that when judging in the U.K. The quality was very high. I finally made my choice in Ch.Blackslate’s Action Jackson, a mature, 3-1/2 year Brindle dog. His head was outstanding. He had the correct, large, broad square skull with the right amount of wrinkle, a nice, well-filled muzzle, and a strong underjaw. He had a nice, dark eye and good ear carriage. His neck was broad and powerful and almost equal in circumference to his head, as the standard requires. He had a deep, wide chest and correctly sloping shoulders. His back was short, with a good, level topline, and he was solid muscle from front to rear. He was in excellent coat and condition, and he moved soundly and with excellent rear drive. This truly is a dog that could easily do the job for which the Bullmastiff was bred. I am sure that he would gain his title in Britain with ease.
As of September, 1995, Bo Bo had sired seven champions; he has major pointed get from his later litters. At the 1994 ABA National Specialty sons of Bo Bo were Winners Dog and Reserve Winners Dog.
