Call Name: Dixie, Fawn
WP23084/01, SB: 8/2000. OFA #: BMF-2031G25F-CERF BMF-297
Progeny points: 8 total, 3 confirmation
Level: Copper Status: active, awarded 2008
Owners: Kelly Esbeck, Cumming, GA Breeder & Co-owner: Jenny Baum
“Dixie” was the most wonderful pet, owned by my veterinarian’s family. The kids could do anything with her. She didn’t have to be on lead at parks and functions with her family as she was not dog aggressive and very well behaved. She won 8 points including a major but was not finished because it was more important not to worry about her going into heats so she could enjoy life’s activities without restraints. She was bred just one and had six beautiful fawn puppies naturally. Kelly even trained Dixie in agility and they competed at the ABA’s first agility trial in 1997. She passed away of cancer at 8 years old.
Dixie puppies all had her wonderful attitude and instinctive love and devotion to family. Her very square, balanced body and perfect wide bite were also traits her kids received. She was small in size and her angles that were too straight and to a lesser degree her kids these traits too. Interestingly, her males were all large and the bitches small
