Baytie was one of a litter of two from Satchmo and our homebred Beauty. Both he and his sister finished their championships very quickly and on the same day. He is a big dog - 26.5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He is a deep mahogany red with a gorgeous topline, short back and moves out with the best of them. He has an outstanding head, neither to bully nor too much mastiff. He is undershot and his teeth tended to be somewhat small. However, he did not seem to pass this trait on to his get, since their mouths are an improvement. His progeny include therapy dogs and one in particular is the puppy socializer for bully puppies in the area.
Baytie is now 8 1/2 years of age, in good health, and as the senior male spends his evenings in his place of honor in my bedroom.
