We fell in love with Blazer at the Portland Bench Show in 1991. At the time she was a six month old puppy attending her first show. I must of remarked to anyone who would listen, “ I just love that dog.” Well it paid off many times over. A few months later Barb Long called and said “since you love this dog so much , how would you like to co-own her with us. Little did we know at the time, Blazer would become our top producing bitch and such a joy in our lives.
She is always smiling, and must have a tongue 12 inches long. Over the years she has stolen kisses from hundreds of unsuspecting dogs, children, adults and of course her family. She is one of the happiest dogs, we have ever owned. Blazer is a pointed bitch, however due to a freak cruciate ligament tear during her prime, she was never finished. Blazer has an incredible temperament, and personality. A wonderful mother, she would show unbelievable patience with her puppies, even accepting puppies from a different litter as her own.
We think of Blazer as being refined. Just over 100 pounds and 24 inches in height but possessing tremendous movement, perfect angulation, excellent pigment and a very dark mask. We want to thank Barb and Eric Long for the opportunity to own this wonderful girls and thanks to “Oreo”, Terry” and “Mugsy” for their part in helping Blazer produce these wonderful champion offspring, could not of done it without these gentlemen. Guidance and support came from Debbie Vargas, Mimi Einstien and of course Barb and Eric Long, without these people we wouldn’t be where we are now. Today Blazer is alive and well, living the life of Riley, spoiled rotten as any bullmastiff should be. She lives with Steve and Frosty, with their children grown and starting lives of their own, Blazer receives all of the love and attention any one dog could ever handle.
