“Jazz” produced all her Champion offspring from one litter sired by Ch.Huck’s Last Hurrah of Bandog. Jazz was acquired by Helene Nietsch and Louise Sanders as a stud fee pup and was subsequently placed with Wayne and Jean Boyd. They bred her to “Freddie” and produced a litter of eight. One of her daughters, Ch. Rivergrove’s Katie was a Sweepstakes Winner, WB/BOW at the1992 ABA National. She was the dam of Bandog’s Tattoed Bride, another ROM. Jazz was a good sized bitch (25 inches, 115 pounds) with heavy bone, a strong front and rear. She was a little long in back and a little weak in the top line, although she did not seem to pass on that particular fault. She has a very good head, a particularly heavy underjaw, with straight teeth and a very good bite. Jazz was a red fawn with good pigment. Jazz produced very good size in her offspring, as well as her wonderful temperament. Jazz whelped her litters naturally and had an abundant supply of milk. She was placed as adult with Pierre LaRue in Canada to breed to Ch. Bandog’s Scrap Iron, but was killed in a freak accident when a tree fell on her while hiking with her new owners in the deep woods.
