In 1956 Walter Weinstein imported Yasmin of Glamview from the United Kingdom, at which time she had already been bred to the great British Champion, Ambassador of Buttonoak. ‘Impy” was a result of this breeding. He was first shown as a puppy at the 1957 Westchester Kennel Club where he won from a large puppy class, but from then till 1961 he was passed from owner to owner and shown very little. In the sumer of 1961, Impy came to Pocantico, not because we wanted another stud, but because his obvious potential should not be lost to the breed. Impy sired the first brindle champion in this country and at the mid-west speciality in 1962 three of his offspring from three different bitches won Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Winners Dog and Best of Winners...These comments were taken from the 1965 Bullmastiff Newsletter and written by Edith Pyle
