     After finishing his championship in late 1991 with three consecutive majors and a Best of Breed win over some of the country’s finest, Mugsy began his “specials” career in 1992. In 1993 he earned the title “Number 1 Nationally ranked bullmastiff by the All-Breed Systems.” His two year show career included 150 Best of Breed Wins, 60 Group wins and placements and 3 all breed Best in Shows. Mugsy has also received numerous National Speciality and Westminster Kennel Club awards in addition to a Regional Speciality Best of Breed, 
     The combination of complete breed type, along with pure fluid movement and a grand show personality made Mugsy the consummate show dog. A few find him to be a bit “too much dog” or “too overdone” but these are the qualities which make him so valuable as a stud dog. It is those who need more size, substance, bone or head without compromising structure, balance and movement that come to Mugsy. His Progeny are continually proving he passes along what he possesses. 
     Mugsy enters this ROM book solely for what he has sired outside of his immediate home. While most breeders have the luxury of creating top producing stud dogs within their breeding program alone, we do not. Out interest continues to focus on the show ring more than a breeding program, and breeding for us, at this writing, is a rarity.. Mugsy is a “once in a lifetime dog” and owning him is a true pleasure and ultimate honor. His temperment is ideal: loving, easy going, a father-figure to all his canine housemates (male & female) and a pal to all neighborhood children and dogs alike. I must admit however, Mugsy was never particularly fond of the competition (other dogs) at shows. I’ve found no explanation for his behavior there, other than sheer male ego! I’ll be forever grateful to Mimi Einstein and Allstar Bullmastiffs; for without her, there would be no Mugsy.
