Call Name: Toad
WB89022 SB - 6-71
Male, Red, OFA # 94 26.5 in 130 lbs
Progeny points: 8 Level: Copper: Status: inactive, updated 2012
“Toad” was my pick from my first breeding out of my foundation bitch Sophia. He was also the first dog I had bred to be rated in the top ten nationally at the group level. He won 69 Best of Breeds and went all the way to #2 in the Nation, he was in the top ten group placing
bullmastiffs three years running (‘71, ‘72, ‘73). It was very difficult in those days to get the bullmastiff considered at the group level.. Most of the top ten working dogs came from California and don’t forget that the Working and Herding group were still combined. Toad was also my first O.F.A. certified dog, BMF-94T. A lot of people in those days asked if the T stood for temporary! After that I stopped tattooing for awhile. At that time in my life I bred under the name of Bull Brook Bullmastiffs. It was a strike for independence: my folks were breeding under the name of Bull Run Bullmastiffs. Toad was a very deep red with lovely pigment.
